Philosophy

If you love a thing you will overcome all difficulties.

I can't relate to lazy PERSON. We don't speak the same language. I don't understand you. I don't want to understand you.

Eight hours of training pain is only the body but if the loss you pain is the heart.

Everything negative — pressure challenges — is all an opportunity for me to rise.

The last time I was intimidated was when I was 6 years old in karate class.

Losing is losing there aren't different degrees of losing. You either win a championship or you're s---. It's very black & white to me.

The moment you give up is the moment you let someone else win.

The important thing is that your teammates have to know you're pulling for them and you really want them to be successful.

What I'm doing right now I'm chasing perfection.

I'll do whatever it takes to win games whether it's sitting on a bench waving a towel handing a cup of water to a teammate or hitting the game-winning shot.

I just go. I just go. I just keep going until it feels right to me. If something doesn't feel right I'm gonna stay there until I get it right. I just continue to keep pushing and pushing and pushing. That's all I've known. That's how my parents raised me. If you're going to be focused on something if you want to do something you can't you can't go about it in a half-assed way. You really gotta dedicate yourself to it try to be the best at it. That's the only way.

Some of life you have to go to the great challenges.

I have self-doubt. I have insecurity. I have nights when I show up at the arena and I'm like 'My back hurts my feet hurt my knees hurt. But I just want to chill.' We all have self-doubt. You don't deny it but you also don't capitulate to it. You embrace it.

My brain cannot process failure ... It WILL not process failure.

If you do not believe in yourself no one else will.

As far as carrying the torch for the years to come I don't know. I just want to be the best basketball player I can be.

I just got one more than Shaq. You can take that to the bank.

I focus on one thing and one thing only – that's trying to win as many championships as I can.
